Global coal demand likely rose by 1.4% in 2023 and surpassed a record-high level of 8.5 billion tons for the first time, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in a report in December.

Moreover, the three top coal producers in the world – China, India, and Indonesia – are boosting production, which is reaching new highs, the IEA said in its Coal 2023 annual  report.

While coal demand in the United States and the EU was set for a 20% record decline in 2023, coal use in emerging economies “remains very strong, increasing by 8% in India and by 5% in China in 2023 due to rising demand for electricity and weak hydropower output,” the IEA said.

On a rather chilly day in TN, I have been working with some wood and keep coming back to a rather harsh reality.  You see, I am one of those who believe that the United States and its beautiful, creative, hard-working citizens are the single greatest experiment in human history.

All day I've been thinking about this, and want to ask you;  don't you think it is rather weird or odd or unusual that the President of the United States of America has dementia and no one you know, cares or gives a dam about it?

From my seat here at Pamelot it seems the plan hatched by the DNC is to keep Biden on the ticket until the Democratic primaries are over and then appoint their favorite candidate. 

This bypasses all the ugliness of an open debate format given Biden's feeble state and decreases the risk that primary voters actually have a say in who they can and will select as their presidential candidate.

No doubt in my feeble mind that Biden will get bounced sometime after Super Tuesday and the Pennsylvania primary in late April.
