When Warren Buffet Speaks...............

Warren Buffett tells the truth about sports betting in the simplest possible terms: "It's a tax on stupidity."

In Nature

Humans seldom see the war.

They don't see life and death.

Eat or be eaten.

They can't fathom death daily.

The war in nature is deadly.

It kills.

To remain alive, it's just not your time.

Greatest Criminal in History

QUESTION?

As David Goggins asks, "who's going to carry the boats?"

Most of America doesn't want to go to work.

They have no idea how great work is for the soul.

Success is not really an easy choice to make because the journey to it requires hard work.

It was one of my best months

WORRY

Worry doesn't take the sorrow out of tomorrow it takes the strength out of today.

Worry is needless.

Worry is senseless.

Worry is useless.

Worry is faithless.

Worry is excuseless.

No worries you can't overcome.

In many ways it was the best of times.

For a while, we had no jobs, and no worries.

A million laughs we had.

San Diego was ripe.

The 80's were around the corner!

Pure bullshit.............

This nonsense on the U.S. Treasury recovering a single United States Dollar is unfathomable.

Wake me up in 49 years when they (might) recover a penny.

They do nothing but print and print and print and the devaluation (of the purchasing power)  of your dollars continues on it's merry way.

Care to guess which way the purchasing power of your money is going?

96% of Americans couldn't tell you what purchasing power is or devaluation of money or what the United States Treasury does or the reason for $2 dollar bills other than for Dream Katt!

(I made that up)

America, (taxpayers anyway) read this and weep.

Today, the SBA referred 562,000 borrowers to @USTreasury for collection on $22.2 BILLION in potentially fraudulent pandemic-era loans, marking the LARGEST debt referral in SBA history. The action ends a yearslong de facto amnesty scheme by the Biden SBA, which refused to refer the portfolio to either Treasury or DOJ, even though the loans were both delinquent and internally flagged for suspected fraud. Under the protection of the Biden Administration, none of the borrowers were compelled to repay their debts and fewer than 1,000 faced any inquiry from law enforcement until today. This historic referral would not have been possible without the strong support of the White House
Anti-Fraud Task Force. SBA is deeply grateful for the leadership of

@VP ,  @AFergusonFTC

and the partnership of both Treasury and DOJ - which now has the files for review. At the SBA, we will continue working to claw back every dollar of PPP and COVID EIDL funding owed to American taxpayers. And we will work in lockstep with the Task Force to bring accountability to every criminal who defrauded America’s small businesses.

Don't you love the truth...................

Lowes, Crossville, Tennessee

Customer service at Lowes has been going the wrong way for years.

Take the store in Crossville, TN as an example.

Try to find somebody to help you.  Ask a couple of questions on some basic items.

I shop at Home Depot in Cabo San Lucas often.  Most of the associates can speak English.  Service is dam good.  Associates will actually walk with you to find the item being sought.

I can't understand half the Lowes employees in Crossville.

The theft of merchandise in the Crossville store is truly despicable.

The rampant and brazen thefts that occur there so often are what we pay for as consumers.

Across the street at WalMart in Crossville, they estimate that in 2025 they were vandalized via theft, of over $1,000,000.00 in merchandise!

Stunning number.

You live amongst these heathens as I do.  Encounter them everywhere, church, schools, restaurants, businesses.

Hard to believe isn't it.  America.  2026.  God help us.

TRUST

The regime in Iran is about as trustworthy as a used car salesman or for that matter, the Southern Poverty Law Center.

These ruthless killers need to be removed.

War is not kind, the Iranian rulers are rather disingenuous.

President Trump, America has to stand behind you.

May God protect America and the good people in Iran.

It's Friday, lighten up, the stock market is up

I have always questioned whether Al Sharpton was really a preacher, since he has no church.

So when I heard that Al Sharpton was the guest preacher at a nearby black church, I decided to check him out in person and see what it was all about.

As I was sitting in a pew, Reverend Sharpton came up to me (I don't know why ……. maybe it was because I was the only white person in the Church).

He laid his hands on my hand and said: "By the power of Jesus the Lord All Mighty, and the power of God, you will walk today."

I told Reverend Al that I was not paralyzed.

He came back later and laid his hands on me again, and repeated the same thing: "By the power of Jesus the Lord Almighty, and the power of God, You will walk today. "

Again I told him there was nothing wrong with me.

After the sermon I stepped outside.

And lo and behold, my car had been stolen.

THE HUNGRY BEAVER

No, it isn't a sad tale of a nymph sorority chick.

It's a dining establishment.

A dam good one.  Where is it?

Todos Santos,  Baja California Sur,  Mexico

No beach view, (new buildings insured that), just a hell of a great place to eat breakfast.

I mean hellaciously good.

Longhorn Steakhouse, Atlanta Airport, Concourse C

I have no idea when those chicken wings were originally cooked.

Zero.

Yesterday?

Last week?

Last month?

No clue, I'm just not that good at dating meals consisting of chicken wings.

I don't cook chicken wings except on a grill, fresh.

I seldom cook chicken wings, fresh, on a grill.

Without a doubt, those wings should have been credited to my credit card.

They were so nasty, so old, so tough, so dry, a coyote would have had a time scarfing them down.

And to think Chic-Filet was next door.

Live n learn.

Ugh.

To my TRADING pals...........listen up

 Key changes in the proposal:

  • Eliminates the PDT designation entirely — No more counting day trades or the "4 in 5" trigger.
  • Removes the hard $25,000 minimum equity requirement for day trading.
  • Replaces it with real-time "intraday margin" rules — Brokers will monitor your account's risk throughout the day based on your actual positions and market exposure.
  • Instead of a fixed $25k threshold, you'll be subject to standard maintenance margin requirements applied intraday. Brokers can block trades or require you to add funds/liquidate if your account goes into a margin deficit during the day.

This shifts from a rigid "you must have $25k" rule to a risk-based, real-time system that modern brokers can already handle with today's technology.

What This Means for Traders

AspectOld PDT RuleNew Intraday Margin System
Minimum Equity$25,000 requiredNo fixed minimum (likely much lower, e.g. ~$2k depending on broker)
Day Trade Limits3 trades/5 days if under $25kNo limits based on trade count
MonitoringBased on trade countReal-time risk calculation
Who it affectsMargin accounts onlyStill margin accounts (cash accounts unchanged)

Positive for small traders: People with $5k–$20k accounts will be able to day trade more freely without restrictions or switching to cash accounts.

Potential downsides: Higher risk for inexperienced traders who could lose money faster with leverage. Brokers will still enforce margin calls and may have their own stricter house rules.

Current Status (as of April 14, 2026)

This is not yet fully effective. FINRA filed the proposal (SR-FINRA-2025-017), and the SEC has an approval deadline around today or April 16. Many sources expect approval soon, with an implementation period afterward (possibly weeks to months as brokers update systems).

The "BREAKING" post is likely reacting to the imminent SEC decision.

If you're a day trader, check with your broker for their exact timeline and new policies once approved. This is one of the biggest changes to retail trading rules in over 20 years.

TAX DAY, April 15

Had to pay bigly to the United States of America for the 2025 tax year.

Today, paid the first quarterly estimate for 2026, probably enough to put you in a Tesla.

I am positive with the money I pay, your neighborhood should see new hospice centers, Somali learing centers,  and more Medicaid and Medicare madness.

The lack of accountability in government, state, local, tribal, and federal, is truly stunning, even to Elon Musk.   Accountability to the tax dollars you paid, and I paid.

Accountability to common sense, the rule of law, society at large.

Accountability to God.

The disgusting part of all of this money being turned over to the federal government, to be pilfered by Congressman and Senators alike, is that I can't send the funds, via wire, to people, agencies, departments, charities that actually need the money.   No, I have to send it to Big Brother, who then, disgustedly, decides how much to skim for their own benefit.

No one goes to jail.  No one is charged.  No one is arrested.   No one does time.  No one pays it back.

This is how it works ladies and gentlemen, for those of you in Wagoner, Wounded Knee and Twin Buttes.  It's too easy.  It's how your tribal council members work.

A foreigner steals millions via fraud.

The Feds tell America: "Oops, we lost him, dang."

An American taxpayer fails to pay taxes in time, for a million reasons, maybe he lost a child, lost his marriage, lost his business, because he’s broke and just doesn't have the money to pay on April 15.

The Feds:  "We kicked the front door in at 3 a.m., tackled his half asleep wife, shot his dog, and dragged him outside in his underwear!"

It's like Americans aren't even there.     The printing presses continue.  The devaluation of the dollar only goes one way.

American monetary policy in decline.   The fraud insures it.

FOR SALE

One NATIVE AMERICAN Privilege Card.

White Earth Chippewa.

Reason for selling:    Am 72, never been used.    Hasn't done anything for me.  No free college, no free food, no free housing, no free anything.

I was awarded a couple hundred dollar treaty settlement in the 1960's.   Dad took the money and put it toward buying a Polaris snowmobile, 20 horsepower.

Would prefer cash for the card but willing to do an even trade for a widely used VICTIM CARD which seems to be widely accepted and with much better benefits.

Did not take any PPP money or Covid money.

Am clot-shot free, a pureblood, so at least I got that going for me.

Elon Musk on X talking straight up................

"The Biden administration actively flew illegals into America with no vetting of their violent criminal past into America and paid for their flights via NGOs.

This is a war crime. Mayorkas and his buddies orchestrated this and should be on trial for their diabolical deeds."

Have a Great Weekend America!

Los Cabos Predator Prey

The pelicans of Los Cabos had a great week.

Schools of prey fish species moved close to the shoreline with the strong surf this week and made for awful easy pickings by these brown pelicans.  Their ability to catch a fish on about every dive was amazing.

How do you spell RESET? Scared yet?

Just Imagine the Brutality of this Scenario

This will put a damper on colleges and universities.

The liberal bastions of free money won't understand it.

They can't fathom their "product" being obsoleted.

Read this and weep.  Coming at you faster than the speed of life.

Kid graduated with a 3.9 GPA in CS and $167k in debt three weeks ago

Been rejected from 623 entry-level positions Not ghosted. Actively rejected. With feedback.

"Position filled by AI automation."

 "Role eliminated during digital transformation."

"Headcount frozen pending workflow optimization." His algorithms professor said he was top 5% of his cohort His data structures final project got him a recommendation letter from the department head None of it matters because every company posting "entry-level software engineer" actually wants someone with 4+ years of AI prompt engineering experience

The brutal part: he keeps getting auto-rejected by ATS systems built by the same companies that won't hire him

His parents refinanced their house for his senior year tuition

Last week he started learning how to drive for Uber

The American dream just got automated out of existence and nobody in Congress gives a shit about $167k in debt that can't be discharged in bankruptcy

His Stanford CS degree is now worth less than a CDL license

Al Gordon, Kidder Peabody & Co. Inc.

I started my Wall Street training at the venerable white-shoe firm of Kidder, Peabody, Inc. in 1982.

Al Gordon, the Wall Street maverick who left Goldman Sachs to buy Kidder and move it to New York City was a distinguished lecturer in our training class in 1983.   He was a Republican, a learner, a runner, frugal, and was an optimist.  Just make the calls he told us.

He lived to age 107.  Started running marathons in his 80's.

A legend.  Infectious smile, unassuming, slight build, he just never quit.

NFL Statistics from GROK

The USA Today NFL arrests database (the most comprehensive public tracker, covering arrests, charges, and citations for offenses more serious than routine traffic violations) shows roughly 1,100–1,107 incidents involving NFL players since 2000 as of early 2026.

Exact counts of unique players (vs. total incidents, since some players are arrested multiple times) are not directly published for the full period or the last 10 years, but historical analyses provide context:
  • From 2000–2014: About 574 unique players were arrested out of ~8,454 who played in the NFL during that span (around 6.8%), with 769 total incidents (131 players arrested more than once).
  • Broader estimates since 2000 often cite 650–800+ unique players arrested across ~850–1,100 incidents, depending on the exact cutoff and whether repeats are double-counted.

Why Life Is Expensive

4 companies control 55% to 85% of the meat market.

4 airlines control 80% of air travel.

3 companies control 92% of the soda market.

3 companies control 73% of the cereal market.

Why don't I hear about it?

6 companies control 90% of the news.

Common Sense

WE CAN LAUNCH 4 HUMAN BEINGS OFF INTO THE EMPTY VOID OF SPACE TO TRAVEL A QUARTER-MILLION MILES TO SHOOT PHOTOS OF THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.

BUT WE CANNOT GET 60 PEOPLE IN A BUILDING IN D.C. TO PASS A BILL THAT SAYS YOU SHOULD PROVE YOU'RE A CITIZEN TO VOTE.

PAM BONDI, I miss anything?

APRIL 2026 Looking Back

I couldn't get hired as a stockbroker when I first moved to San Diego in 1979.

Needed sales experience they said.   Brokerage firms were reluctant to hire me, I didn't come from money.

I took a path with the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company.

I had no family with money.   No friends in San Diego to sell to.  Just a rotary phone and the phone book.

It was a tough sell in the early 80's.  Selling "death" insurance to the living on a sunny day in San Diego!

Prime rates were in the 15-20% range.  Most regular savings accounts paid double-digit returns.

Mortgage rates fluctuated from around 12–13% early in 1980 to near 16–17%  then settled in the 12–15% range.  In 1981, they climbed higher, with weekly averages reaching as high as 18.45%–18.63% in October (the all-time peak for 30-year fixed rates).

Selling a whole life policy was a tough sell.

Best sales experience I had in my life.

Only toughened my resolve to move up.

I wasn't going back and I wasn't going down.

One way.

Dream big.

As General Powell said, "Optimism is a force multiplier".
