PORK = Spending pigs/hogs/congressmen

In fiscal 2008, Congress endorsed 11,735 special-interest earmarks worth $16,900,000,000. Thousands of these spending items were NOT EVEN written into the actual budget bills, rather they were "air-dropped" at the last minute into non-binding conference reports.

99.9% of Americans don't understand what a line-item veto is.

And it seems a good half feel the Government owes them something and that they need to "tax the rich" to get what it is they "want" from the government.

God help our nation.
