Tagged out on my first buck of the year!

He must have been going full tilt, his horns were high above my hood!

There was no time to hit the brakes, it was at impact I first saw him!

Big and heavy, good rack.

We scoured the adjoining hay field twice and turned up nothing.   No vultures either as this 106 degree heat would have bloated him quick.

The County Roads Department needs to reexamine their policy on cutting road side ditches.

Deer know where all the good forage is and it's in the ditches.

Hopefully, like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.
