Common Sense would dictate that..............

that if the SEC seems stymied by the complexity of high-frequency trading (HFT)  and is unable to provide adequate oversite then the logical solution would be to prohibit high-frequency trading.

This next flash crash will be truly epic.  The regulators are clueless.
