San Diego Running Career

This photo was published in the March, 1983 issue of THE RUNNER magazine.

I am fairly easy to recognize.  The girl in the white to my left was a great runner and unfortunately had to have surgery after this race.   Later she had a very successful career in real estate in south Florida.

This photo was taken near the end of the 1982, America's Finest City (San Diego) Half-Marathon when the race finished in Balboa Park.

For most of the 1980's my training route in San Diego was either a 5-mile course along the shores of Mission Bay or on the Boardwalk from Grand/Garnet down to South Mission.
