The redneck bubba who hit him from behind was going way too fast while texting. 

Today I got the accident report.

If you want a read on US equity markets shut off CNBC.  CNBC will not make you a dime.

If you are an owner of stocks you better be ready for a long haul.

Listening to the touts on CNBC talking their book is more than disgusting.

Ray Dalio, today from Davos, Switzerland, hit the nail on the head.  Find the clip on the internet and listen.  Listen very carefully.

This is a picture taken  on the Crow Indian reservation in the fall of 1974.  The great Crow leader walking behind me was Robert "Robbie"  Yellow Tail.  It was such a fun hunt with him at his age.  He loved being horseback and having plenty of friends, good food and laughs around him.  He carried a large .300 Winchester Magnum rifle and we rode up with an extra horse.  Robbie wanted a fresh horse with him!   It was a memorable hunt in many ways.  None of us, not one, fired a shot.

What a great hunt it was.

Montana 2009

I shot this antelope the first morning of the 2009 season.   Had a clean shot and killed him on the dead run.  The buck went down faster than Bill Clinton headed after an intern!   My hunting partner, Tom Rasmussen, killed a bigger buck earlier that morning.   Good times, good memories, good eating.

The stock  market will continue to fall.  The speed at which it falls will increase.

The Fed, in all of their ignorant activities, will step in and do something even more atrocious at the worst possible time and try to increase the wealth effect of bankers it had so carefully engineered in the past seven years.  What ever they attempt, will fail.

Goldman Sachs bought and paid for so Ted Cruz, how stupid is America?

The recent revelation that Republican hopeful Ted Cruz failed to disclose a 2012 $1 million loan from the Wall Street investment bank, Goldman Sachs, raises legitimate legal concerns, and could spell trouble for the presidential hopeful. As Mediaite.com's Rachel Stockman reports (via LawNewz.com),

The New York Times first reported that campaign disclosure reports show that before a scheduled run-off in the May 2012 senatorial election, Cruz received a low-interest loan from his wife’s bank, which his campaign committee never reported to the Federal Election Commission.

 

The Cruz camp is brushing this all off as a BIG oversight.  Cruz promised to immediately amend the filing if there were any problems. The Texas Senator said that he and his wife put their liquid net worth into the campaign and the loans in question were “disclosed over and over and over again.”

 

That’s great but here’s the problem: what he did could still be a violation of federal law.

“The fact that the information was out there somewhere doesn’t negate the fact that it wasn’t disclosed on the candidate’s campaign disclosure… that’s a violation of federal law,” Paul Ryan with The Campaign Legal Center told LawNewz.com.  The group is a nonpartisan, and goes after Republicans and Democrats alike for campaign finance violations.

To be clear, here’s the federal law that Cruz may have violated:

52 USC 30104 (b)(2) (6) requires the committee of a federal candidate to disclose on a report filed “loans made by or guaranteed by the candidate” and 52 USC 30104(b)(4)(d) requires the reporting of “repayment of loans made by or guaranteed by the candidate”

So the question is, what can happen next? Clearly someone will have to file an official complaint (I have no doubt that will happen). If they do, the FEC could impose fines.

The real problem for Cruz is if evidence somehow emerges that this was ‘knowing and willful.’ If that could be demonstrated, then Cruz could potentially be prosecuted criminally by the U.S. Department of Justice, according to campaign finance experts. Cruz insists that it’s not.

“The bottom line – any money that is obtained or received to fund a campaign needs to be reported,” Ryan said.

As Martin Armstrong concludes,

The dishonesty here is that Cruz has pretended to stand against the bankers. “Like many other players on Wall Street and big business, they seek out and get special favors from government,” Cruz told the New York Times previously. How dishonest is this statement and then forgetting to report a loan from Goldman Sachs? His wife Heidi, is a managing director at Goldman Sachs and has taken a temporary “leave”during his presidential campaign.

 

I am sorry. But Cruz is bought and paid for and would be in the pocket of the New York Banks no different than Hillary, Bush, or the rest of them who take money from this crowd.You do not forget to report a loan from Goldman Sachs when your wife is a managing director. Come on. How stupid do we have to be to entertain this excuse?

My parents were living in Pine Ridge SD at this time and I was attending High School in Rushville, Nebraska.   On the weekends during the football season I tried to get in as much hunting as I could.

Open sights.  .243   Muley buck shot south-west of Angostura Dam,  which backs up the Cheyenne River in southwestern South Dakota.  We were "driving" out  (on foot, not doing the Ford sneak)  a fairly open drainage on the Osmotherly Ranch.  I was on the end and this buck came out headed directly at me.  Dad got to watch the whole thing!     We left home after a football game on  Friday night and got up there late.  What a great time with Mr. James Lomax, Mr. Brice Lay and Mr. Clair Baird.  Great laughs!

State of the City of Chicago in 2016!

The year is fairly young and it's more of the same in the Presidents favorite city.

According to the Chicago Tribune, following the seven people shot to death and 30 more wounded during the latest weekend, the total number of shootings in the Windy City has risen to 120 in just over a week into the new year, according to police.

The fatal shootings included two teens killed by a store clerk during a robbery in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, and one of three people shot at a party four blocks from Mayor Rahm Emanuel's home.

As the Tribune tabulates as of Monday morning, at least 19 people have been killed in gun violence and at least 101 more have been wounded. This is three times higher than compared to the same period one year ago: in the first 10 days of 2015, "only" nine people were killed and another 31 wounded.
